Introducing the Pineapple Guava (Feijoa)

We’ve been thinking here at Green Thumb Gifts and we’ve come to the conclusion, that the Pineapple Guava could just be the unsung hero of the plant world.
What’s not to love about this hardy evergreen, with beautifully unique foliage, delightful little blossoms and delicious fruit that will appear from mid Autumn to late Winter, which some say tastes like...pineapple sorbet!
There are lots of different types of Feijoa’s, but here at Green Thumbs our favourite is the Acca Sellowiana.
To make sure this one’s around for the long haul, be sure to keep the soil moist and in full sun, if you can...but don't worry, it will take more than a bit of shade to rattle the Pineapple Guava.
These beauties don’t mind if you pop them in the ground or leave them in their pots. So, tell me now...who doesn’t need a Pineapple Guava in their back yard?
