Planted herb garden

Planting your own herb garden is great fun! The window boxes that Green Thumb Gifts herbs are delivered in will thrive if leaves are picked regularly. If you want to let your herbs grow and flourish we recommend planting them in the garden.
To show you just how easy it is to grow your own herb garden, the team at Green Thumb Gifts, led by little Jack, used an old wine barrel at the farm and selected seven of our favourite herbs to plant. Four weeks after planting you can see just how well they are doing. The wine barrel is positioned in a shady spot in our garden. Watering just a couple of times each week has delivered great results - and it looks fantastic.
The mint plant (left centre) is looking a little small after we used the leaves for a roast vegetable, haloumi and cous cous salad on the week-end. We also made a salad from the baby spinach leaves that are growing by the day.
We hope this will inspire you to plant your own herb garden and enjoy the 'fruits' of your labour.
Happy Gardening!
