What is the deadline to place an order?
Green Thumb Gifts deliver Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Our next-business-day delivery service covers all Australian cities and most large regional centres when you place your order by 10am AEST daily. Some regional areas may take up to 2-3 business days for delivery.
During peak periods such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Christmas, we recommend placing your order earlier to ensure timely delivery.
What time will my gift arrive?
Deliveries will arrive at business addresses by 5.00pm and residential addresses by 7.00pm Monday to Friday. Please note that we cannot provide a specific time of day that your delivery will arrive.
What if my recipient is not at home?
We recommend delivering to an address where you know that someone will be home to accept the delivery. If no-one is home our standard procedure is to leave the gift safely at the premises, unless the courier deems that it is not safe to leave the gift unattended or you have specifically requested for the gift not to be left.
In these instances, the gift will be taken to the nearest post office and a calling card left at the premises. These instances may result in an additional redirection charge - if you are concerned about potential redirection of your order, please call 1300 889 319 for more information.
Can I send a Green Thumb Gift to anywhere in Australia?
Our live plant gifts can be delivered to anywhere in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. Due to quarantine restrictions on soil shipments into Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, we cannot deliver live plants to these locations. Please visit our Gardening Gifts page for gift alternatives that do not include a soil based medium and can be delivered to these locations.
How will my Green Thumb Gift come presented?
Your gift will come beautifully packaged in a recycled Green Thumb Gifts delivery box, with a plant information/care card and a gift card included.
What if the wrong address is supplied for delivery?
Please ensure that the full and correct street address is provided for your delivery, including any business names and hospital wards where applicable. If your gift is returned to us or delivered to the wrong address due to incorrect or insufficient details being supplied, an additional delivery charge may apply to redeliver the gift and this may also cause delay in delivery.
Do I receive confirmation of my order?
Yes, an email confirmation will be sent to you confirming the details of all online orders. Please contact us immediately if you do not receive this. If we cannot meet any specific requests listed in your order, our staff will be in contact to discuss your requirements.
What method of payment is accepted?
Green Thumb Gifts secure online payment system will accept MasterCard, VISA, Diners Club and American Express cards. We also accept PayPal payments. Where approved prior, corporate customers may be eligible to pay via EFT depending on the transaction amount (please note that in these instances payment is still required before dispatch).
Can I change my mind after placing an order?
If you contact us before your gift has been dispatched from our store, we can amend or cancel your order for an administration charge of $10. After the order has been dispatched, no changes or cancellations can be made. Please note that during peak gifting periods such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Christmas, once your gift has been boxed and booked in with our courier for pick up, we are not able to intercept your parcel for changes due to the high volume of gifts in dispatch at this time.
