When you send a Green Thumb Gift, you want it to brighten someone’s day and flourish for months after. So you can bet we take every care to ensure our gifts arrive on time, carefully packaged and looking beautiful.
Green Thumb Gifts delivers Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), with our next-business-day service covering all Australian cities and most large regional centres. Some regional areas may take up to 2-3 business days for delivery.
Delivery charges to capital cities are $9.90 per item and all other areas are $17.50 per item.
Please note that there are quarantine restrictions on soil shipments to Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. Plant gifts in soil cannot be sent to these locations. We do however have a range of gift options to these locations.
Delivery Dates and Time of Day Requests
Please note that we cannot specify a time of day for delivery. Gifts are delivered up until 5pm to business addresses and 7pm to residential addresses.You can request a specific date for your gift to be delivered (with the exception of same-day delivery) and we will do everything in our power to ensure this request is met. To achieve your delivery request we select the most appropriate delivery service from our national network of ground and air couriers. On rare occasions, due to courier circumstances that are outside of our control, your gift may not arrive on the exact date that you have requested. In the event of a late delivery, please call us on 1300 889 319. You will also have the ability to track the delivery progress of your gift online, using a unique parcel code that Green Thumb Gifts will provide to you via email when your gift is dispatched.
Unattended Premises & Additional Re-direction/Re-delivery Charges
If there is no-one at the delivery location to accept the gift delivery, the standard procedure of Green Thumb Gift couriers is to leave the gift safely at the premises unless this is not possible. Exceptions to this rule are; gifts that include alcohol, which cannot be left without a signature, premises where our courier deems it is not safe to leave the gift unattended, or if you have requested in your order that the gift not to be left at the premises if it is unattended. In these instances the gift will be taken to the nearest Australia Post office and a calling card left at the premises. We recommend that where possible you ensure the delivery location is attended on the delivery day.
Delivery outside of Metropolitan areas
Please note that some remote locations may not be serviced by standard couriers. In these cases, parcels will be delivered to the closest Australia Post outlet for delivery with regular local mail runs or for pick-up by the recipient, depending on the procedure of the Australia Post outlet. Please call 1300 768 996 to ask whether this applies to your delivery, if you feel your delivery location may be outside serviced metropolitan areas.
A $10 administration fee may apply to cancellations of, or changes to, orders. Orders cannot be cancelled on the day of delivery or if they have been dispatched. In either situation orders will be charged in full.
We endeavour to ensure all gifts delivered are as close to the images advertised on our website as possible. For transportation purposes some flowering plants may not be in full bloom on dispatch. If due to stock availability or a weather event we are unable to fulfil your order as described on our website we will contact you to organise a suitable substitution.
