Ever wondered exactly what Feng Shui is and how it works?
Well, good news! It’s super simple. It’s basically the balance of 5 little factors...wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
No. 1 - WOOD
Add wooden furniture to your space. Things like timber benches, bedside tables, bowls and even bed heads are a simple and effective way of making up this feng shui component. Even houseplants count. These help create positive energy – we’d recommend succulents and cacti if you haven’t got much of a green thumb.
NO. 2 - FIRE
If you’re lucky enough to have a fireplace, you’ve got this one covered. But for the rest of us, candles are the perfect substitute. Not only are they a go-to decoration, they also create ambience and help set a beautiful relaxed mood.
NO. 3 - EARTH
Crystals are a beautiful addition to any interior. Not only are they great for decoration, they can also provide calming, inspiring, energising and healing energy.
NO. 4 - METAL
Simple ornaments like candleholders and picture frames will help positive energy flow through your space. We are loving anything with a dull copper finish at the moment, try incorporating some of this trendy shade of metal into your space.
NO. 5 - WATER
We all know that beautiful calming feeling you get sitting by the ocean or quietly by a river. So it’s no surprise that water is one of the key factors in Feng Shui. Try floating candles or fresh cut flowers in a vase of water.
Happy Feng Shui-ing Greenies!!
