How to make Dad feel special this Father’s Day
Date Posted:18 July 2022
Father’s Day is an important celebration for all the father figures out there. With Father’s Day just around the corner, we’re thinking of ways to make Dad feel extra special.
Let’s ditch the socks, books, and random gadgets this year and find a unique gift just for him.
So the big question is, in what ways can we make Dad feel loved this Father's Day?
Create a moment.
Spending quality time chatting, enjoying a coffee, or laughing together are all moments to look back on and smile.
Does your dad love the great outdoors? No problem, why not spend a day golfing or fishing. You could even join him in his beloved garden. Yes, this does mean pretending to be interested in what lawn solution he’s using to make it greener.
Maybe you are looking for something more laid back? Try solving a puzzle together or learning a new musical instrument. It could be a great way to spend an afternoon together and be a little outside your comfort zone.
What about the foodie Dad? You can always cook a great meal, but what about surprising him with some of his favourites, whether that's cheeses from the Barossa, or Craft Beers with some savoury treats. Father's Day gift hampers can take the time out of sourcing products yourself, but still, feel personal.
Ask for his advice.
There’s nothing a man loves than to pass down his wise words of wisdom - ok, maybe he's not that wise, but it is his day so give him a moment to be heard. Ask his opinion on a topic or about an experience you know he's proud of. Whilst you’re enjoying each other’s company, remind yourself why you’re thankful for each other.
Thinking of Dad from a distance.
When you can't be there in person, there are lots of fun ways to still feel connected. Loads of gifts can now be personalised, from adding their initials, to uploading your favourite insta photo to a gift card. Even a cute drawing from grandkids, makes a really sweet addition.
We know just how difficult men can be to shop for men in your life, so we created a Fathers Day shopping page, so you can find the perfect gift for Dad. If you do want to personalise it, simply add a sticker image or message after you have selected your awesome Dad gift.
The most important rule for Father’s Day!
Now if there is one key rule you can’t forget to help make the father figure in your life have the best day ever, it’s this…Don’t forget to laugh at his Dad jokes! We bet he’s been saving that joke to share with you for a long time.
